What the lab does — and does not do

  • It runs real engines. Python is CPython semantics via Skulpt; SQL is real SQLite; HTML and CSS render in a real browser frame.
  • It checks your work automatically. Each task has one or more checks — output, query rows or page structure.
  • The starter code is never the answer. Every task opens with a working line and a TODO. Press Run as it is and the checks fail on purpose — you have to change something before the next task unlocks.
  • Quizzes sit inside the lab. A checkpoint quiz task appears in the track after every ten tasks, marked in the page, with the explanation shown the moment you get it right.
  • It never sends your code to a server. Everything happens on your device, so it also works on a slow connection.
  • It is not a certificate machine. The exam has a pass mark of 60% and the paper is different for every student.

Do you need an account?

No — you can work through any track right now. An account is only needed for the parts that must remember you:

  • saved progress and saved code
  • checkpoint quizzes (12 questions every 10 tasks)
  • the final exam and the certificate
